April 2007

CBBF Followers:

Dear readers and members of the CBBF, it is that time again for the 2007 season of provincial and national events to take place.

Many provinces have already provided events, with many more to follow.

Our first national event, the 2007 CBBF National World Qualifier is less than 2-months away and the promoters Jim Morris, jamorent@sympatico.ca and Norm Jacobs have promised an excellent event, to be held in Toronto, Ontario on June 16th.

We hope to see many returning athletes and even more first time competitors challenging for positions on the 2007 Team Canada rosters, to eventually attend the IFBB Amateur World Championships.

Quickly following the World Qualifier will be the 2007 CBBF Canadian Figure, Master Figure and Fitness Championships being held in Edmonton, Alberta on June 30th and promoted once again by Cabel McElderry, cabel@fitnessfx.com.

Again we will see competitors challenging for IFBB Professional Card applications.

We suggest you view the website in the near future as we will be providing the various views of national athletes, plus text of the changes in analysis that the judges will be taking into account.

Our final CBBF national event the CBBF Canadian Bodybuilding Championships will also be held in Edmonton, Alberta on August 18th, promoted by John Dirks, jdirks@psd70.ab.ca. All events may be entered online by viewing Events on our web page.

We cannot stress the thanks provided by athletes and promoters over the years with the fan support as well as sponsors and most certainly friends and family members.

The CBBF and its provincial associations have been involved in Canada for over 60-years and work hand in hand with the governing body the IFBB.

With the direction taken by International President, Dr. Rafael Santonja we will continue to progress, with many international events and classes. We will be offering all athletes the chance to compete for world titles and IFBB Pro cards.

Each year there is pressure put on the CBBF by competitive organizations and we maintain our position as leaders of our sport in Canada and internationally.

We hope that athletes and fans will continue to support their provincial athletes from their novice events and onto CBBF national events.

Would like to take this opportunity to wish each athlete, be they first time competitors or seasoned veterans the best of luck in 2007 and hope to see many of you on the CBBF stage for years to come.

Train safely and good luck in 2007.
